At Bitterne CE Primary school we want our pupils to feel valued both by the staff and by their peers. We also want our children to be able to identify and form healthy, happy relationships with others.
We aim to teach our pupils to value the diversity within our world, and to value what different positive relationships can bring to their wellbeing. In order for them achieve this we have a curriculum in place that revisits the different types of relationships that are formed in society and how to recognise when these are healthy and unhealthy.
We also ensure that within the children’s learning they identify what they can do and where we can go to for support if needed. Our learning on relationships is also strongly reinforced within the RE curriculum and reinforces our school Christian values of love, trust and forgiveness.
