PSHE

PSHE is an integral part of any child's education.

Our aim as a school is to:

• Encourage positive, confident attitudes;
• Understanding the need for a healthy lifesyle and factors that contribute to this;
• Contribute to the well-being and safety of young children;
• Develop their personal and social skills;
• Increase independence and the ability to take responsibilty for their own actions;
• Prepare them for the future;

While we teach units of PHSE, we also as a school reinforce social and personal skills, both within the whole school environment throughout the day and as part of our SEAL (Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning) units that we cover each half term. Where possible we link PHSE units to other areas of the curriculum, however due to the nature of some of the units it is not always appropriate.
