Welcome to Bitterne Church of England Primary School.   

It is a real privilege to welcome you to Bitterne Church of England Primary School.

Bitterne is a warm, inclusive and ambitious school where children are known as individuals, encouraged to be themselves and supported to achieve their very best. Our vision, Together We Soar, reflects our belief that children flourish when they feel that they belong, when they are challenged to aim high and when they know that the people around them believe in what they can achieve.

We are proud of the strong sense of community within our school. Our Christian values of Hope, Courage and Creativity shape the way we learn, work and care for one another, while welcoming families of all faiths, backgrounds and beliefs.

We want our children to leave Bitterne with strong foundations for future learning and much more besides. Through an ambitious curriculum, excellent pastoral care and a wide range of opportunities beyond the classroom, we encourage children to be curious, confident and compassionate; to discover their strengths, develop their interests and find their place in the world.

Most importantly, we want children to enjoy being at Bitterne. We want them to feel safe, valued and proud of their school, and to look back on their primary years as a time filled with learning, friendship, opportunity and happy memories.
