Teaching Assistants

We are seeking to appoint some enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants who are passionate about making a difference to children’s progress and attainment to join our school.  

These roles will be supporting children in the classroom and will also include some individual pupil support.  

The appointed candidates will have:

• A passion for learning that will inspire and motivate children to be independent thinkers.
• The highest expectations for achievement and behaviour.
• The ability to develop outstanding relationships with colleagues, children and parents.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Ideally you will have recent experience of working in a school setting however full training will be given. GCSE Grade C (or grade 4/5) in English and Maths is required and a relevant qualification: NVQ 2 or similar is desirable.

We have various opportunities available – part-time or casual hours and these are fixed term until the 31st August 2024, to start as soon as possible.  

The hours of work could be Monday-Friday, 8.30am-12.00pm (16.50 hours per week) or casual cover hours.  The salary will be Grade 6, £10,200 – 16.50-hour post and is depending on experience.  We also have casual cover vacancies available and the hourly rate for this is £13.79 per hour. 

The casual hours will be to cover as required and you will be contacted in advance to book working hours. You could also be contacted to cover on the same day for any emergency cover.
