We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated HLTA who is passionate about making a difference to children’s progress and attainment to join our school. This role will be supporting children in the classroom and will also include cover for lessons, planned and unplanned throughout the school. Whilst covering a lesson you will be responsible for the children’s learning, safety and behaviour. When there is no cover needs you may also be used to support in classes or support with small group interventions across the school.
This role requires good classroom presence and behaviour management skills in an all through primary school. The successful candidate will be expected to cover work in a range of subjects and respond to the needs of both planned and unplanned cover. The hours of work will be 26.50 hours per week for a full-time post. This role will be term time only. We will consider applications for part-time hours or working on a job share basis.
The salary will be on Grade 7, £25,927- £30,094 (Full Time Equivalent). Actual Salary £15,891 - £18,445 for 26.50 hours per week, depending on experience.
The appointed candidate will have:
Ideally, you will have recent experience of working in a school setting however full training will be given. A relevant qualification: NVQ 2 / NVQ 3 for Teaching Assistants or similar is desirable.
