Every child in each class can put their name forward for School Council. They have to prepare a short talk to their class. The class will then vote for two children to go forward to
the whole school elections. These children then speak to the rest of the school explaining what they will do, if they become a School Councillor.
The votes are cast and counted. There is a School Councillor and a Deputy School Councillor for each class. Year R children vote later in the autumn term.
What do School Council do?
The School Councillors meet regularly to discuss how to make the school even better. They collect ideas from their class and share them at the meeting. They then come up with a plan to
work on certain projects that make Bitterne CE School the best it can be .
